The Godess of the underworld is set free each spring to work her second job (busy woman) as goddess of vegetation. With her return brings the return of spring produce, celebrate with us by dining on our menu featuring as much local produce as possible!!
What's even better is that 100% of the ticket price for this event goes to our favorite Nonprofit SBAGNE (see our philanthropy page for more)

Lauren and Antonio have years of restaurant experience and a passion for delivering a delicious and welcoming experience for all guests. They are also married (to each other!) and have two beautiful babies! They were inspired to start working together and began with their food truck Wandering Agave and expanded into The Agave Diner.

Our little vintage diner sports 4 booths and 11 seats at the bar. Dine in or take your order to go! Please remember we are a small diner and are eager to serve everyone. During busy times we ask our guests to kindly sit at the counter if they are solo so that we can accommodate larger groups in the booths. Please note we do not take reservations.

The Agave Diner Experience
Rooted in History
The building that is now The Agave Diner started out as Nash's Diner in 1951 and survived the great flood of '55. It was a stainless steel diner that when purchased came as a kit including all of the equipment, booths, and even plates and flatware needed to open. In 1986 Tony LiBrandi bought the diner and changed the name to Tony's where he and his wife Carmella were owners of the diner and built a fabulous reputation for great breakfast in the town of Seymour. After 37 years they were ready to retire and pass the diner on to a new family. Thus, The Agave Diner was born where you will find family and tradition are still an integral part of our mission to bring fresh, delious food and a great cup of coffee to your table.
Setting the Scene
Take a step back in time when you walk through the doors of The Agave Diner. Many aspects of the diner were restored prior to opening including the original tile and bar stools. Some things are new but aim to pay homage to the history of the diner and provide a fun, elevated ambiance.
Mixing Traditions
At The Agave Diner, we celebrate traditions...in our case, there are the American traditions Lauren grew up with and the Mexican traditions of her husband Antonio. They incorporate both the flavors and cooking techniques from their upbringings and combine them to deliver delicious breakfast, lunch, and brunch options that come from the heart. On the diner's menu, you are sure to find something for everyone whether you're after a sweet stack of French toast or a savory sandwich- there is a fresh, breakfast or lunch dish with your name on it!
